Marin Kitchen Works Wins Seven Remodeling Awards

Continuing to set new standards of professionalism, 104 remodeling companies from across the United States were honored at the eighth annual Chrysalis Awards for Remodeling Excellence on June 1.  The awards, sponsored by Professional Remodeler magazine, were presented at the Southern Building Show in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Judged by the staff of Southern Living magazine, Sunset magazine, and, the winners were selected from over 600 entries covering all types of remodeling projects.  The entries were judged on overall design, the creative use of space and materials, and the degree to which the project enhanced the original structure.

This year, Marin Kitchen Works of Novato, California took home seven awards.  They won top honors as the Category Winner for Kitchen Remodel $40,000 - $70,000, Kitchen Facelift, Room Addition Over $100,000, Room Remodel Under $50,000, and Accessible Remodel.  In addition, they took top Design/Build honors in Bath Remodel Over $40,000 and won a Special Award for Bath Remodel Under $40,000.

This is the second consecutive year in which they have won multiple Chrysalis Awards, and this is the largest number of awards ever presented to one company in a single year.

"Winning multiple awards is a real testament to the quality and versatility of this company," says Ken Kanline, Director of the awards, "but to win multiple awards in consecutive years is incredible".

The Chrysalis Awards program, begun in 1994, recognizes the best remodeling work in over thirty project categories.
