This remodel transformed a closed-off, dated kitchen, dining room, and living area into a bright, open-concept coastal living space designed to take full advantage of the home’s waterfront views.
The original layout had a wall separating the kitchen from the dining area, limiting natural light, flow, and connection to the outdoors. We removed two walls that closed off the dining area and expanded the kitchen into the former dining room, creating a much larger and more functional kitchen footprint with improved storage, prep space, and entertaining potential.
A major goal of the remodel was to bring the outside in. To accomplish this, we added a large panoramic door system and a lift-up pass-through window over the sink, creating a seamless indoor-outdoor connection. The new window opens to exterior bar seating, making the kitchen feel connected to the patio, water views, and outdoor living areas.
The redesigned kitchen now features a spacious layout, custom cabinetry, improved circulation, and a more open relationship with the dining and living spaces. The dining area was reimagined as part of the larger entertaining zone, while the living room now feels brighter, more connected, and visually tied to the kitchen and view beyond.
What was once a darker, segmented interior is now an airy, functional, and inviting coastal home designed for cooking, gathering, entertaining, and enjoying the view.
